Testosterone is a very important hormone required for male development. After age 30, most men begin to experience a gradual decline in testosterone which is normal. However, a rapid decrease in testosterone, especially when younger, is an indication of an underlining health issue.
A man’s normal total testosterone range is about 12 nmol/L, below 6.9 nmol/L is diagnostic of hypogonadism, and 6.9–11.1 nmol/L is equivocal.

Low Testosterone Treatment with Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine:
Here at AcuNatural Health Brisbane, Jane Ma, uses acupuncture to relieve the stress, fatigue and emotional toll that comes with hormonal issues caused by low testosterone and stimulation to improve blood circulation which has an effect on sperm production and quality. Acupuncture is also used to balance the hormonal system and restore virility in men.
In conjunction with acupuncture Jane also uses Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbals. Usually low testosterone in Chinese medicine is associated with the Kidney channel system (Foot-Shao Yin) which is responsible for the circulation of Kidney qi and essence. Essence is a term that includes hormones, such as estrogen and testosterone. It promotes the reproductive function and the circulation of body fluids.
Further more, the Kidney system is in charge of the adrenals, sex hormones, vitality, bone development etc. Generally, this system can either be over stimulated (Kidney Yin deficiency) or truly weak (Kidney Yang deficiency). As far as low testosterone symptoms can be the same in both cases but in one it is from the body drawing from its resources too much and from the other it has either already tapped them or there is something more functional happening causing lack of production.
therefore, here at AcuNatural Health Brisbane our treatment focus is to restore natural functioning levels of testosterone, by fortifying the Kidney yang and nourishing all other organs that are depleted. Jane Ma achieves this by using acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments.
The following patient was treated by Jane Ma at AcuNatural Health Brisbane for low testosterone.
